Install Tech
Job Purpose:
Install Monkey leads systems installations for Monkey Wrench Productions. They are responsible for maximizing client experience and budget to help establish Monkey Wrench as a go-to installer in the local and national market while maintaining safety and efficiency on and off the Jobsite.
Key Responsibilities:
● Attend Foreman/Construction meetings as required
● Inspect all installation work periodically to assure company practices are being followed
● Responsible for seeing that all foremen and technicians are complying with the company, state, and federal regulations and laws
● Pull wire and terminate to plates, panels, and racks
● Lace, terminate, and label rack wiring in equipment racks
● Mount and rig AV equipment including displays, screens, projectors, speakers, cameras, racks, as well as lighting and rigging equipment, and stage drapery
● Inspect, troubleshoot, test and correct your own work
● Maintain clean working areas
● Be cognizant of the Jobsite surroundings and immediately deal with any safety concerns
● Company tool and equipment maintenance, including controlling and safekeeping of all tools, in the shop and on jobsite
● Organize job box with gear necessary for the install and remove box at the completion of the project
● Shop upkeep and cleanliness
● Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies with manufacturer reps
● Manage vendor relationships by addressing product updates, product problems, and troubleshooting issues
● Always strive to build customer relationships to develop business
● Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
● Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Must have live event and/or field installation experience
Must be competent in lighting and rigging from an integration standpoint
Must have entertainment installation and construction experience
Ability to read and understand construction style documentation
Ability to manage shifting priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, self-starter, personable
Be proficient in time management, extremely detailed and results-oriented
Ability to manage numerous assigned projects of various sizes
OSHA 30 certified, PMP certified a plus
ETCP Rigging or electrical Certification a plus
Great attitude and ability to learn and remain flexible and work well on a high functioning team
Extensive knowledge of theatrical systems including audio, video, lighting, etc
Results orientated: proven ability to set, meet and exceed established goals
Proactive and creative problem solver
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Work at heights on ladders, lifts, and stage grids
Physical ability to walk, crawl and work in difficult positions and areas
