Our story.

Seth Scott created Monkey Wrench Productions as a no-nonsense production store for the entertainment industry. Monkey Wrench is a culmination of Seth’s knowledge from working at the regional and national level. Monkey Wrench offers everything from gaff tape to installing the most energy-efficient lighting system in MN. We cater to a very loyal client base around the world that appreciates Seth’s unique style of technical sales and honesty with a twist of humor.

Before Monkey Wrench, Seth was a service and install technician where he picked up factory certifications for High End Systems, Vari-Lite, Martin, Color Kinetics, and ETC. After working as a regional sales manager in Arizona, he and his wife decided a change of climate was in order and moved to Minneapolis (just a bit cooler). After the move, he built Monkey Wrench in his vision of what he thought production sales should be - Outstanding Customer Service, Knowledgeable Staff, and HONEST product recommendations.

When he’s not monkeying around, Seth likes to spend time traveling with his wife, playing lacrosse and hockey, and raising and breeding service dogs for Can Do Canines.
